Preliminary Study of ISSR Marker Technique on Wheat Fingerprinting

The potential of DNA fingerprinting using ISSR marker within intraspecies of wheat lines which had been proved to have lower polymorphism was preliminarily studied.It was found that primers with dinucleotide motifs such as(AG)n?(AC)n?(TG)n could produce the most polymorphic bands on wheat.The results indicated,ISSR marker system,compared to other commonly used marker technique such as RFLP?RAPD etc.,was shown to be an effective marker type characterized by its simplicity,rapidness,cheap cost and high polymorphisms and be suitable for use in wheat fingerprinting analysis.
