Utilizing an Embryo Examination Technique to Evaluate the Effect of Flumorph on Embryo Development in Zebrafish

The effect of flumorph on zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) embryo and hatchling development was investi-gated using a zebrafish embryo development technique in which eggs in the embryo stage received acute exposure toflumorph, followed by determination of percentages of hatching, abnormalities, and mortality. Flumorph showedrelatively little effect on zebrafish from the embryo through hatchling stage, indicating a classification of “low toxicity”according to aquatic biological toxicity standards of the National Environmental Protection Agency.
