Laboratory Activities and Field Application of Nitenpyram against Aphis citricola

The objective of this experiment is to evaluate test the control efficiency of nitenpyram 10% SL against Aphis citricola by laboratory toxicity test and field trials.[Methods] Laboratory toxicity test and field trials were carried out by using Potter Tower method and routine spraying method in field.[Results] The indoor toxicity of nitenpyram 10% SL was equivalent to acetamipr 3% EC,and the LC50 values were 5.51 and 4.51 mg/L,respectively.The control activity of nitenpyram 10% SL reached 88.7 to 100% at the concentration of 25 mg/L in 1 to 14 days after treatment,which was similar to that of acetamipr.While a little lower at 15 and 20 mg/L.[Conclusions] Nitenpyram 10% SL is an effective steady and safe insecticide to control A.citricola.At initial period of A.citricola,when its density was low,15 to 20 mg/L of nitenpyram 10% SL was advised.When its density was high,the effective dosage was 25 mg/L.The key control could be conducted by spraying insecticide on shoot.
