ESR STUDY ON THE FORMATION OF SUPEROXIDE RADICAL ANIONS BY Na_2O_2-DMSO SYSTEM

A new method that the O was produeed by Na_2O_2 in DMSO/H_2O has been re-ported in this paper. The visible O signal can be directly detected by ESR. Theconditions of the reaction and.characterization of O signal were studied. Scavengingeffect of superoxide anion was investigated with tea polyphenols etc. It is shown thatthis is an advisable method to produce O radical and could be used to look for thenew O scavenger.
