On the Alienated Labor in The Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844
TIAN Chang-hong;Pingxiang University;
Marx extended alienation as a philosophical and sociological term in The Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844. According to Marx, under the conditions of capitalism, the work of the laborers and their products in turn rule the laborers, forming an external force different from the laborers. Marx analyzed that private ownership of the means of production is the main source of labor alienation, and the relatively fixed social division of labor is the ultimate source of labor alienation. "Alienated labor" is mainly manifested in the alienation between humans and the products, the alienation of humans and their labor, the alienation of humans and themselves as human beings, and the alienation of human relations. Self-viewing and eliminating private ownership are the way to remove labor alienation and achieve full freedom for humans.
