An Analysis of the Coupled Structural-Acoustic Characteristics of Vehicle Passenger Compartments

This paper makes an attempt at applying the finite element method and modal test technique to the measurement and analysis on vehicle body vibration and its interior noise. By using the theory of coupled structural- acoustic system, a series of researches have been carried out and some conclusions have been drawn which could be very useful for the future work on the structural and acoustic modification of the vehicle for reducing passenger compartment noise level especially at low frequencies.
