The Coordinated Control Of Automated Mechanical Transmission During Starting

This paper analyzes the clutch engagement process during starting in practical operation in a bid to realize a smooth starting with least of jerk and slipping work To ensure the steady running of engine,the loading capacity of engine is calculated according to throttle opening,engine speed and the speed of transmission input shaft,and the clutch torque is controlled to match engine torque In addition,a model of slipping work and temperature rise is set up to protect clutch from over temperature The control MAP for clutch is then created and has been practically used in ECU of AMT prototype for a car model with satisfactory performances
