Accurate Calculation of Clutch Torque Transmission During Vehicle Starting

Based on the analysis on the torque transmission process in the clutch of an AMT vehicle during starting,accurate calculation models for the transmitted torque and friction work of clutch and the temperature rise on clutch plate surface during vehicle starting are set up.Then the formula for the friction coefficient of clutch lining,which mainly depends on the relative rotating speed between driving and driven plates of clutch and the surface temperature of clutch lining,is derived.Finally a simulation calculation on the torque transmission characteristics of clutch during vehicle starting is conducted for a real car.
