Energy Management System of PHEV Based on Fuzzy Logic

A fuzzy-logic-based energy management system for CFA6470 parallel hybrid electric vehicle is designed by employing T-S fuzzy model and the fuzzy control toolbox in MATLAB,and the system is then divided into energy regeneration control system and the energy management system in normal driving mode,thus the control system is simplified,conducive to the formulation of control strategy.Once the control strategy is set up,using T-S fuzzy model makes the relation between inputs and outputs becomes much clearer in energy regeneration control system.As for the energy management system in normal driving mode,it not only simplifies the relation between inputs and outputs,but also assures the engine working in the optimal region with the starter and driving motor efficiently operating in predefined modes.The simulation results indicate that the energy management system designed is reasonable and feasible.
