A Study on Kalman Filter De-noising for Speed Signal in Emission Test with Short Transient Driving Cycle

In view of the problem of disturbed signal of vehicle speed leading to significant error in acceleration calculation during emission testing with VMAS,a de-noising method with Kalman filter is proposed.By analyzing de-noising effects of Kalman filter with a simulation example and compared to that of traditional FIR filter,the effectiveness of Kalman filter is validated.In addition,the state space model for speed signal in emission testing with VMAS is also built,based on which the tested signal verification for constant speed and acceleration working conditions is conducted using Kalman filter de-noising method with a result indicating the validity and effectiveness of the method.
