A New Parallel-Series Hybrid Electric Car's Driving System

In view of the complicated structure of electromechanical coupling power transmission device in existing parallel-series hybrid driving systems,a two-axle real-time parallel-series hybrid driving system is proposed.By controlling the engine clutch in front axle and the clutches for wheel hub motors in rear axle,the different combination of series and parallel drive can be quickly realized,and the switching between parallel and series modes can be achieved whenever vehicle working conditions require.An elaboration is made upon the structure and control strategy of the new driving system with its advantage and deficiencies also analyzed in the paper.
