Experimental Study of Effect of Feeding Speed on Wear of CBN Wheel

LUO Wei-wen(Mechanical Engineering College,Guangxi University,Nanning Guangxi 530004,China)  
Grinding experiments for 45 hardened steel workpiece were carried out with CBN(cubic boron nitride) wheel of vitrified bond. The effect of feeding speed on wear of CBN wheel has been studied by experiments. It is found,in an appropriate sand wheel feeding speed of 30~40 μm/s and linear speed of 60 m/s,very slow wear and high grinding efficiency of domestic ceramic bonded CBN wheel can be obtained.
