Finite Element Analysis and Performance Test of Composite Leaf Spring for Automobile

Wang Jiashi,Li Zaike,Wu Hui,Wang Chunhua,Jiang Qibin(Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology CO.,Ltd)  
With the aid of the ABAQUS software,the designed composite leaf spring is analyzed,and the spring stiffness coefficient and the maximum load capacity are calculated.Performance test is made to prototype of this composite leaf spring which is made with molding technology.The comparison between computational results with the experimental results indicates that they have good agreement,which shows the main performance of the composite leaf spring meet the design requirements,this kind of leaf spring is also achieves approx.63% weight reduction compared with steel leaf spring.
