Simulations of Vertical Stiffness Characteristics in a Tire Blow-out Process

Using the shell element model to simulate rubber-cord composite materials,the finite element model of 215 /60R16 radial tire was established. The tire deformation of normal tire pressure under vertical load was analyzed. The simulation results of vertical stiffness matched well with the experimental results,it was shown that the finite element tire model developed was correct. By changing the tire pressure,the tire vertical stiffness was obtained under different tire pressure,then the vertical stiffness characteristic of a tire blow-out process was gotten. It lays a solid foundation for quantitative analysis and research of blowout vehicles operating stability.
