Determination of Hydrolysis Rate for Methylchlorpyrifos by GC-MS

The effects of temperature and pH on hydrolysis rate of methylchlorpyrifos were studied by GC-MS.The results indicated that hydrolysis rate of methylchlorpyrifos was significantly affected by temperature and pH value.The higher temperature and bigger pH value,the more rapidly methylchlorpyrifos hydrolyzed.The effect of pH on hydrolysis rate was more significant than that of temperature.3,5,6-trichloro-2-hydroxypyridine is the primary product in hydrolysis of methylchlorpyrifos.
