Numerical Simulation on the Flow Field of Liquid-solid Tubular Static Mixer

A new type liquid-solid tubular static mixer was developed,and Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) software Fluent 6.2 was applied to simulate the flow fields.The results showed that the changing diameter enhanced fluid mixing and turbulence and convertion between dynamic and static pressure.Further more,the energy loss caused by the changing diameter just increased the fluid turbulence.The best rate of the part of acceleration determined by the simulation and experiments was about 1.4—1.6 m·s-1.
