Optimal design of fuselage bulkhead structure stiffness

Based on the wing-body bulkhead structure of some aircraft, the optimization design was conducted by the finite element method. Through the analysis of a prototype wing-body combination frame, the reliability safety load was determined and the new stiffness model was established. Through finite element method of Nastran, the structure stiffness was calculated and the stress and deformation analysis was carried out. Considering the frame environmental conditions and the structural design requirements, based on the stress and deformation results and topology optimization analysis results, some important structural design parameters were chosen. Based on the new design parameters, a new optimal model was created. Through comparison between the old model and the new one, it is demonstrated our aim of stiffness optimization is accomplished.
