ZHANG Hui,SHI Xiao-Yong,ZHANG Chuan-Song,WANG Li-Sha(College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,Ocean University of China,Qingdao 266100,China)
The distribution features of nutrient structure and nutrient limitations in the north of Yellow Sea were discussed based on the data collected from July 2006 to October 2007.The results showed the ratios of N/P,Si/N and Si/P changed much larger in the surface water and 10 m,and lower in the middle sea, higher in the area of liaotung peninsula and Shandong peninsula in spring and summer. The high values was diffused from Yalv river mouth and Clip river estuary, and all much higher than Redfield ratios. The ratios of N/P,Si/N and Si/P significantly reduced and little changed in autumn. The distributions in the bottom layer and 10 m in any seasons were closed and the high values areas near the Yalv river mouth and Clip river estuary.According to the analysis of the nutrient structure, the concentrations of nutrients in the surface water of most locations were lower than the grown threshold of the phytoplankton in spring and summer in the north of Yellow Sea,and mainly potential restrictions by P were existed in spring, summer and autumn. The limitation of nutrient was disappeared in winter.
