Method for real-time traffic state evaluation based on fixed detector

In order to improve the accuracy and practicability of the traffic state identification,this paper puts forward a method for real-time traffic state evaluation based on fixed detector.In consideration of the construction and data collection methods of inductive loop vehicle detector,and the preprocess of the traffic data collected by detectors with the method of threshold screening and missing data compensation,the congestion index membership functions about the average velocity and the average time occupancy are established.On the basis,congestion measurement index models of converging speed index and occupancy index are proposed.Finally,the practicability of models is verified by the data collected in Ermalu Road of Yantai.The experimental results show that the established model can accurately and effectively identify the traffic state.
