The Relation Between the Increase in Blood Cell Volume and Microangiopathy in Diabetic Patients

Objective To investigate the relation between mean corpuscular volume(MCV) and microangiopathy in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus(2 DM). Methods Compared with 31 normal persons,49 cases with 2 DM were divided into two groups;one group,23 cases with microangiopathy; the other 26 cases with non-microangiopathy. All MCV were measured. Results In patients of 2 DM with microangiopathy,MCV increased (P0. 05)and MCHC decreased (P0. 01)obvious-ly. Conclusion It is closely relative between MCV and microangiopathy in patients with 2 DM.
