IDENTIFICATION AND IMPLICATION OF THE ORINGINAL NNE-TRENDING STRUCTURE OF QINLING GROUP IN THE QINLING OROGENIC BELT

Based on the detailed structural analysis of Qinling Group, one of thePalaeoproterozoic metamorphic crystallized basement fragments distribured in the core zone of theQinling Orogenic Belt was recongnized, and the original NNE - trending structures, which iscontrating to the dominated NWW - trending structures in the Qinling Orogenic Belt, wasidentified in the Qinling Group. Tectonic implication of the oringinal NNE - trending structuresof the Qinling Group was discussed in combination with the regional goological Setting. It issuggested that North China and Yangtze Cratons had ever been a unified craton, calledPalaeosinica Craton, within which NNE - trending structural framwork was dominant, untill tothe end of Palaeoproterozoic. The long and Complex history of tectonic evolution of the QinlingQrogenic Belt began with the fracture in the Unified craton at the begining of Mesoproterozoicage.
