Dynamic Parameter Estimation Based on Spectral Analysis

The dynamic parameter estimation based on spectral analysis is covered together with some applications. It involves two step algorithm: first, an estimate of the spectral density function from input-output signals of a linear system, and then an estimate of its dynamic parameters from frequency response data obtained in the first step. Some parameter estimation algorithms are derived by minimizing a unified form of loss function using different selections of weights. Linearized algorithm, iterative algorithm, nonlinear optimization algorithm and an algorithm based on the sequential iterations of finite element models are then given. The estimation approach is used for some applications and good practical results are obtained.
