Simulation of Three-phase Transformer Magnetizing Inrush Current Capable of including Ferromagnetic Nonlinear Effects

According to the steel core's saturation-bysteresis rela tionship between MMF and flux, its non-linear magnetic characteristic is accuratly simulated by two sets of input-output trajectories. This paper describes an electromagnetic circuit model of 3-phase bank o:f single-phase transformers and 3-phase (3-limb) core type transformers whose windings are .connected in Y, Y0 and △. The magnetizing inrush curT.enL of unloaded transformer is computed under consideration of special initial conditions and actual parameLers of the two transformers. It is proved by experiment that the mathematic model and calculation program proposed in the paper are correct.
