Model for steam mass flow rate distribution from the boles along horizontal well

In order to enhance the heavy oil heating recovery by steam injection with horizontal well, a hemi-analytic numerical model was established using a FORTRAN Ⅳ programme. It can calculate the distribution of the mass flow rate, the pressure, the temperature, the quality of two-phase steam from the holes along the axial direction of horizontal well. The conclusions are: 1) proper changing the spaces between the holes along pipe can improve the homogeneity of steam mass flow rate from the holes along the horizontal well; 2) the sensitive parameters for the distribution of steam mass flow rate are the permeability of formation, the length and the diameter of horizontal well, the diameters of holes.
