By use of the method to study the laws of catastrophe-the Key Time Method, this paper deals with the influence of sunspot, El Nio and La Nia episodes on outbreak of the Oriental Migratory Locust (Locusta migratoria manilensis Meyen). Results showed that El Nio and La Nia episodes cannot engender the outbreak of the pest. These episodes can create the weather and climate changes in the habitat of the Migratory Locust, and the weather and climate changes play effects on outbreaks of the grasshopper. However, there would be a plague of the nuisance in the year after the higher relative sunspot numbers. It was statistically significant at the 90% Confidence level.
