Three Dimensional Nonlinear Simulation of FEL with a Reversed Guide Magnetic Field

In this paper the Conde-Bekefi experiment is analyzed by the three-dimensional nonlinear simulations. When a small injection angle of ecectron beam is introduced,which is similar to the pinch angle in a cyclotron autoresonance maser,the simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment values. This indicates a novel interaction mechanism of FEL with a reversed guide magnetic field.
