Influence of Si、Cu on microstructure and property of Al-Mg-Si alloy

The effects of Si、Cu on microstructure and property of Al-Mg-Si alloy were studied,and then the processing technology was discussed reasonably by mecha——nics testing,microstructure and fracture analysis,etc.The results showed that grains decreased gradually and hardness value increased with the increasing of the contents of Si,Cu;moreover Cu had a more notable enhanced effect on as-cast alloy than Si under the same conditions,which mainly contributed to more strengthening phase promoting crystallization.And mechanical properties of the alloy by the different processing were compared,the alloy had better comprehensive mechanical properties after solid solution ageing,cold rolling,secondary aging in this experimental conditions,tensile strength and elongation of the alloy were 392 MPa and 11.6% respectively.
