Effects of Ti contents and aging temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Si7-Mg0.35 alloy

Effects of Ti content and aging temperature on Al-Si7-Mg0.35 alloy microstructure and mechanical properties are studied.Results show that alloys tensile strength and hardness increase gradually with Ti contents increasing under 155,165 and 175℃ of three aging temperature,and they reach the maximum value when Ti is 0.2%,then gradually decrease.Elongation gradually decrease with the increasing of Ti contents under 155 ℃ and 165℃ of aging temperature,and they reach the minimum value when Ti content is 0.2%,then slightly increase with Ti contents increasing,elongation presents downward trend at 175℃.The tensile strength and hardness of three alloys with different contents firstly rise and then drop with the aging temperature increasing,and percentage elongations after fracture of 0.1 %and 0.2% Ti decrease firstly and then present upward trend,while it of 0.3%Ti present downward trend.
