The topical agent SD-Ag-Zn on the promotion of burns wound healing ant ibiotic effect

Objective This study was undertaken to in vestigate the topical application of SD-Ag-Zn on the promotion of partial-thickn ess burn wound healing and antibiotic effect.Methods 119 pa t ients with 222 wounds utilized as randomized trial to investigate the promoting healing effects of SD-Ag-Zn were divided into two groups.In the treatment group the wound were printed with SD-Ag-Zn.The self corresponding wounds with same d epth in all patients were used as control.In the control group the wounds were covered with 1% silver sulphadiazin cream only.The completely healing of all wo unds were observed including Ⅱdegree burns,deep Ⅱdegree burns injury and the small granulation wounds.Burn wounds bacteria culture were done in both treatme nt group and control group before and in the period treatment.Results In the treatment group of SD-Ag-Zn Ⅱdegree burns the average healin g time was 10.25±1.69(n=83) and 13.15±2.03(n=26) in the control group.In the treatment group of deep Ⅱdegree burns the average healing time was 18.1±2 .72(n=43) about 3 days earlier comparing with control group.In the treatment g roup wound bacteria culture show 39% changed into negative and about 9% in cont rol group.Conclusion The topical application of SD-Ag-Zn ca n promote wound healing and control wound infection effectively.
