Study of Acceptance Load Testing of Main Bridge of Wuhan Tianxingzhou Changjiang River Rail-cum-Road Bridge

The main bridge of Wuhan Tianxingzhou Changjiang River Rail-cum-Road Bridge is a double pylon and triple cable plane steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge with span arrangement(98+196+504+196+98) m and with a six-lane roadway arranged on the upper deck and a four-track railway arranged on the lower deck of the bridge.The bridge is currently a rail-cum-road steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge having the longest main span and the heaviest designed load in the world.The acceptance load testing of the bridge breaks away from conventions and is carried out in a way of scientific research conception and practice.The contents of the testing mainly incorporate the static load test,dynamic load test as well as the verification of some early stage key technique researches on the actual bridge and the dynamic behavior and dynamic response of the vehicles,bridge and tracks have been evaluated for the first time all-roundedly and systematically form the angle of the system dynamics.In accordance with the related standards and codes,a set of the perfect criteria and methods for the acceptance load testing of the new type of the rail-cum-road bridge structure is systematically summarized.The results of the first phase testing of the bridge prove that under the action of the designed load,the bridge has sufficient strength and rigidity and can satisfy the design requirements.At the testing running speed of 80 km/h,the stability and safety of the running of trains on the bridge and the dynamic performanceof the bridge structure can also satisfy the requirements in the related standards,codes and design.
