On the Five Influences of Network Technology Revolution on Democratic Politics

ZHENG Shu-cun (The Department of Economy and Law and Politics, Qufu Normal University, Qufu 273165, China)  
The appearance of information network technology will greatly enhance democratic politics in the following five aspects. It will accelerate the process of transfer from indirect representative democracy to direct participative democracy. It will disintegrate the traditional power structure of pyramid like centralization of state power, making centralization into division. It will enhance the development of freedom of speech, social equality and openness of politics. It will improve technological means of democracy, making" electric democracy" possible in our lives. It will also bring innovation and creation to democratic principia, improving our democracy procedure and mechanism.
