SU Wen Li,YANG Guo Liang,XIONG Bin.Department of General Surgey,Shenyang Red crossed Hospital,Shenyang 110013,China
Objective To evaluate the overexpression of insulin like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF 1 R) and its correlation with occurrence and development of colorectal carcinoma. Methods The colorectal carcinoma data base was from 54 patients and correspondent normal mucosa and 14 transitional lymphaden. The IGF 1 R expression on the tumor tissue slide was tested by immunohistochemistry. Each slide was rated on four scales:-,+ or ,,of which the two latter were considered as overexpression. Results Overexpression of insulin like growth factor 1 receptor(IGF 1 R) was found in 33.3%(18/54)of colorectal carcinoma, and its overexpression was found in 78.6%(11/140) of transitional lymphaden, while overexpression in normal mucosa was found only 3.7%(2/54), P 0.005.Overexpression of IGF 1 R was found in 53%(9/17) of colorectal carcinoma in Ⅲ,Ⅳ stage while it was found in 24%(9/37), P 0.05 of colorectal carcinoma in Ⅰ,Ⅱstage.Overexpression of IGF IR was found in 56%(9/16) of colorectal carcinoma with transitional lymphaden, and was found only in 24%(9/30)without transitional lymphaden, P 0.05.Conclusions IGF IR played an very important role in the development of colorectal carcinoma. So it was helpful to the diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma to test IGF IR.IGF IR could help to infiltrate and transfer of colorectal carcinoma, and therefore it was one of the potential index of colorectal carcinoma transference.
