Technical research on phenol wastewater process with acid modified bentonite

Acid modified bentonite has been prepared using Liaoning bentonite and sulfuric acid as main raw materials in this paper,and the adsorption procedure for phenol wastewater studied with modified bentonite.The results showed that the phenol removal rate can reach to 65%~70% under conditions of 1.5 h adsorption at normal temperature with 20 mg/L phenol concentration and 0.3 g modified bentonite,witch solid-liquid ratio in 6 g/L.The removal efficiency of phenol with reaction temperature increased markedly,phenol concentration becomes high,bentonite for the phenol removal effect is better.The phenol removal rate for high concentration phenol was better than low concentration phenol witch reached to 75% by the modified bentonite.
