ATMOSPHERIC AEROSOL TIME-SPACE DISTRIBUTION AND ITS PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS AT CHONGQING CITY

During Dec. 13, 1990 to Jan.4,l991 the atmospheric aerosol particles were observed using photoelectric counter model LG-83 at shapingba meteorological station, chongqing. The observed results indicate that the average concentration of aerosol particles is 252.7 per cm3,maximum concentration 452.9 per cm3 and minimum concen tration 84.8 per cm3, that are more than aerosol concentration atiBeijing. The atmospheric aerosol may be dividedinto two groups, the fine particles (D2μm) are in accord with Deirmendjian spectra distribution, and the coarse particles (D≥2μm) are in accord with junge spectra distribution. Ii is obvious that the aerosol particles have a connection with relative humidity, fog and precipi tation. Without fcg and precipitation, calculated meteorological visibility is consistent with visual observation.
