Analysis of variation of wind speed over north China

Rong Yanshu Liang Jiaying(College of Hydrology and Water Resources,Hohai University,Nanjing 210098)  
In this paper,the characteristics of wind speed variations,including distribution of annual mean wind speed,decadal variability,distribution of linear trend and sudden change of wind speed,were investigated based on the observed monthly mean wind speed in 104 gauges,located quite uniformly over the territory of north China.The results showed that as far as distribution of wind speed was concerned,there is higher wind speed in the northwestward and southeastward of north China and smaller wind speed in the northeastward and southwestward,and that annual mean wind speeds have tended to decrease,the value in most of gauges reached 0.2—0.5(m·s-1)/10a.Meanwhile,the sudden change of wind speed were found,the early one occurred in the south of north China,and the second one appeared in the western region,and there are no robust times in northern and central region.
