Numerical Simulation of Temperature Field and Stress Field in Laser Clad Coating

The temperature field and stress field in laser clad cobalt-based alloy coating were numerically simulated by Sysweld software.The results show that with the increase of laser scanning speed,the melting pool will become narrow and long,the retention time of peak temperature of the coating will be shortened and both the depth and width of melting pool will diminish.Moreover,the temperature of melting pool and heat affccted zone will be lowered obviously with the increase of distance from the laser heat source.In addition,the residual stress and the residual distortion of clad coating will be augmented with the increase of laser scanning speed.
