Effect of Construction of Auto Cover on Its Deformation

The manufacturability of auto deck lid inner was emulation analyze using an Autoform /Dynaform software. The formability and gravity-induced deformation in corner portion were investigated for the deck lid inner of different constructions. The results show that the actual deck lid inners of different constructions differ in shape although their formability fulfills the requirement. Verification of finally made deck lid inners indicates that the simulated result is basically consistent with the actual production result.
