HUANG Yong~1, GUO Qing-rong~(1,2), REN Hai~1, WAN Hong-fu~2, YANG Guo-yi~2 (1. South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou 510650, China; 2. Guangdong Institute of Eco-environmental and soil Science, Guangzhou 510650, China)
Urban soils are an important part of the urban eco-environment. With the development of urbanization, more and more attention has been given to the influence of heavy metal pollution of urban soils on urban eco-environment and human health. Soils in urban areas are deeply contaminated by urban sewages, garbages, waste gases from automobiles and industry. It is therefore an urgent need to study the heavy metal pollution of soils in urban areas and its impacts on eco-environment on the basis of introducing the definition and basic characteristics of urban soils, the progress of the study on pollutant source, content distribution, chemical configuration and biological accumulation effects of heavy metal pollution in urban soils in recent years is reviewed, and the perspective of the research on heavy metal pollution of urban soils is discussed.
