Regulation of Plant Hormones on Biosynthesis of Natural Rubber in Hevea brasiliensis

DUAN Cuifang ZENG Rizhong LI Yu(Rubber Research Institute \ Ministry of Agriculture Key Laboratoryfor Tropical Crops Physiology, CATAS, Danzhou, Hainan 571737)
It is of significance for Hevea brasiliensis to improve its rubber yield through chemical stimulation by using such stimulants as plant hormones. The effects of various plant hormones such as ethylene, jasmonic acid, linolenic acid, etc on the natural rubber biosynthesis were discussed. The regulation of JA and ethylene on the biosynthesis of natural rubber were analyzed emphatically. The tendency for development of safe, new, high efficient stimulants for increasing rubber production was briefly summarized.
