Empirical Study on Trade Potential of Carbon Sinks in Rubber Plantation in China

The trade potential of carbon sinks in rubber plantation was measured using forestry growing stock amount propagation method,which was based on adoptive carbon inventory from climate mitigation projects at 2015 in China,chosen 2011 as base period.Meanwhile,the carbon sinks was estimated by the same method at 2008 and 2011.The results showed that the trade potential of carbon sinks in rubber plantation is 2.486 1×106 t at 2015 in China,accounting for 10.62% of the existing carbon stocks,and the average annual growth rate of carbon sinks is declining,which indicates that the trade potential of carbon sinks in rubber plantation was insufficient in China.Finally,some recommendations for enhancing the carbon sinks potential were proposed based on intensive growth of rubber plantation.
