Study of Glycoprotein Extracted and Purified From Ruditapes philippinarum Inhibits the Growth of Tumor Cell in Vitro

YU Di1,YANG Yong-fang1,WANG jia-bin2,et al(1.School of Food and Pharmacy of Zhejiang Ocean University,Zhoushan 316004; 2.Hailisheng Pharmaceutical Co Ltd,Zhoushan 316021,China)
The glycoprotein are extracted and purified from Philippine clam meat by ethanol precipitation, protein filtration with Sevag reagent,DEAE Sepharose FF and Sephadex G-25 column chromatography. The glycoprotein inhibits the growth of DU-145 cells remarkably at a low level dose, and its optimal concentration is 25 mg/mL.The results suggest that Philippine clam meat probably contains potent anti-tumor groups, which is extracted from the glycoprotein.
