Preventive Effect of Bushen Yizhi Decoction on Learning and Memory in Rat Model with Alzheimer's Disease

Morris water maze was used to observe preventive effect of Bushen Yizhi Decoction (BYD)on learning and memory in rat model with Alzheimer's disease(AD),and AD rat model was established by intraperitoneral injection of D_galactose combined with ibotenic acid injection into bilateral nucleus basalis of Meynert.The results showed that BYD improved learning and memory in AD rat model.Escape latency of AD rat model in Morris water maze was shortened (P0.01) and distance of swimming in the platform quadrant was prolonged (P0.05) .It is suggested that BYD possesses a certain preventive effect on learning and memory in AD rat model.
