Research on the Thermal Expansion Behaviors of AgGa_(0.7)In_(0.3)Se_2 Single Crystals

A new orientation method was introduced to find the c-axis of Ag Ga0. 7In0. 3Se2 single crystals,by which samples with the direction of [001] and [100] were obtained,respectively. A Win TA 100 dilatometer manufactured by Bhr company was employed to measure thermal expansion coefficients of the two samples. Based on the results,the variation of thermal expansion coefficients along the c-axis and aaxis with temperature and the mechanism of abnormal thermal expansion,and calculated volume thermal expansion coefficient and thermal expansion anisotropy factor were analyzed. In addition,variation of directional coefficient at different temperatures as a function of cos2φ were discussed.
