Studying of Synthetic Anti-wear Additives andEvaluating of TriboIogical Behaviour

In this paper several synthetic anti-wear and mend additives in internal combustion were compound, and anti-wear and frictionreduction to commercial additives and compound additives were evaluated in RFT friction and wear machine. The result showed that these anti-wearand mend additives have decreasing friction and wear and mending effects in internal combustion engine. The morphologies of the worn surfaces wereobserved with an scanning electron microscope and found that worn surfaces have oil slick. These synthesised anti-wear and mend additives do notcontain plumbum. A thermal degradation test was conducted using thermogravimetry analysis(TGA). The result shows that running-in lubricants areeffective to running-in cylinder-piston rings tribopairs in internal combustion engine.
