Experimental Study of Influence of Fuel Magnetization on Diesel Engine Combustion Performance

Through building up a diesel engine test bench with the function of working condition control and power measurement,the energy conservation and emission reduction was studied from the perspective of fuel magnetization among all the preprocessing techniques of the diesel engine combustion,and the influence of fuel magnetization on combustion performance of diesel engine was tested.The test results show that the influence of fuel magnetization on combustion performance is different under different scales of magnetic field and loads.After the process of fuel magnetization,in the low load condition,the NO emission is reduced(with 5.85% at most) but the fuel consumption and smoke density are increased;in the middle load condition,the fuel consumption is reduced obviously(with 4.17% at most),but there is no obvious change of smoke density,content of CO2,O2 and NO;in the high load condition,there are no obvious influence of fuel magnetization on fuel consumption,smoke density,content of CO2,O2 and NO.According to this law,the fuel magnetization can be applied based on the working conditions.
