Conception on information system for supervising and managing total pollutant afflux into rivers from different administrative zones in Yangtze River Basin

In order to protect water sources in Yangtze River Basin and provide an objective basis for evaluation and accountability of "River(Lake) Chief System", an information system for supervising and managing total pollutant afflux into rivers from administrative zones in Yangtze River Basin was proposed. The relative research results were introduced. The system's architecture was conceived. The goal and main contents of the system building was elaborated. The system's statistical query and aid decision-making support functions were discussed. Then the application prospect of the system is prospected. The system combines the measurement of total pollutant afflux into river with administrative zoning management, integrates measurement, supervision and assessment, which is an effective tool for controlling water pollution and emission reduction of water environment protection.
