STUDY ON AND APPROACH TO THE NEW THREE-ZONE LOW NO_x COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGY FOR COAL-BURNING BOILERS

Through study and analysis of various combustion technologies at present, a conception of new three-zone combustion mode and a scheme of new three-zone low NO_x combustion technology have been put forward. The said technology combines organically together the following theoritical concepts: (1)conventional combustion; (2) air gradation combustion; (3) fuel gradation combustion; (4) high temperature low oxygen combustion. A fully new three-zone combustion concept and a new type low NO_x combustion technology have been created. The said new combustion mode has been briefly described, the difference in theoritical concept of the new three-zone combustion mode and other combustion modes, as well as the reduction of NO_x emission and influence upon the combustion process being analysed. It is believed that the new low NO_x combustion technology has obvious superiority in aspects of reducing NO_x emission and capital investment, boasting good adaptability for coal sort with high volatility. After using the new technology, it is expected to control NO_x emission from coal-burning boilers to under 200 mg/m~3 and even lower.
