FTIR STUDY ON OXYGEN POISONING BEHAVIOR OF COS HYDROLYSIS CATALYST

The adsorptions of COS, H 2S and O 2 were investigated result by FTIR equipped with a set of glass vacuum apparatus It was found that the adsorption of COS on TGH catalyst could be a dissociative adsorption The FTIR results of COS +H 2S +O 2 co adsorption on TGH catalyst show that catalyst deactivation can occur when H 2S and O 2 existed The reaction temperature has a great influence on TGH catalyst deactivation In other words, high reaction temperature could accelerate TGH poisoning The FTIR is in agreement with that of micro reaction system and deactivation mechanism was put forward for COS hydrolysis
