Experimental Study on Effect of Paste-Aggregate Ratio on Properties of Expansive Concrete with Fly Ash

The overall calculation method was applied to calculate the mix design of expansive concrete with fly ash and studied the paste-aggregate ratio for the influence of expansion properties,strength properties and the development coordination of both. The main conclusion is as follows: no matter how expansive ash,when fly ash is low( 10%),paste- aggregate ratio is relatively larger( 37. 5 /62. 5),the more favorable to the coordinated development of the system expansion and strength; when compared with fly ash is high( 30%),paste- aggregate ratio decreases,the more favorable to the coordinated development of the system expansion and strength. So not in the all types of concrete optimal paste- aggregate ratio are determined as 35 /65,this experience is in a certain range for different types of concrete.
