Application of underground pipeline technique in improving salt lick in the Huang river basin

Salt lick in the Huang river basin is distributed in the valley region mainly. The area of saline land counts for more than 7% of the wet land in this basin. Combining with the hydrugeologic conditions of the salt lick region. the layout of underground pipeline. the selection of pipeline material. the barring depth and interval, and the hydraulic calculation of underground pipeline are analyzed in this paper. The construction procedure and management method are then summarized.From preliminary statistics, the average crops productivity of the experimental area varies from 3750 to 6000kg/hm2, and in some area it can be as high as 7500kg/hm2. On average, the productivity increases about 2250 to 3000kg/hm2 than the value before the improvement of the salt lick.The economic profit is significant.
